Day 2 on the Emo’s Not Dead 2022 cruise with Sixthman was a whirlwind. Micha couldn’t even hang long enough to see Underoath that night.

We started the day at emo brunch called Helena’s Kitchen. The food was underwhelming, but the ambiance was dark and gritty. Just how we like it! Plus, it was nice to get out of the strong winds out on the Pool Deck (spoiler: those winds would last throughout the day).

After brunch, we headed to the main dining room for autograph session 1 with Underoath, Cartel, Hawthorne Heights and others. Because we had no idea what else to do with them, we had the bands sign our END undies. By the end of the session, all members would be happy if they never saw another pair again (especially Aaron Gillespie who the next night told us from stage just how much he hated those things).

First concert of the day for us was with Silverstein. And holy moly was it good!….despite the terrible wind. How these bands manage to rock out so hard on rough seas is truly something magical to witness.

Thursday played immediately after. Now Micha has wanted to see this band for more years than she can even remember. And it was well worth the wait! If you have an opportunity to see them, do it! Trust us. You won’t regret it. Not only were they amazing, but they played the album Full Collapse from front to back. Mind blowing!!!

After that we saw the cruiser picked set list from Dashboard Confessional. No surprise, he played almost exclusively off of Swiss Army and Places. For Micha, it was heaven as she is only a fan of those two albums.

Now Micha had every intention of going to the Emery acoustic set and the Underoath Define the Great Line set. But she’s old. And she was tire. So she gave the camera to Rusty. Who used up all the battery at Emery….
